In this very special workshop, participants will join Dr. Kenneth V. Hardy and Dr. Silvina Irwin in a live supervision session as he reviews Silvina’s work with an interracial couple in a Stage 1 live session. Silvina’s consultation questions for Dr. Hardy include
Identifying entry points to make explicit and explore the impact of race on attachment strategies;
How to expand the conversation with respect to the systemic elements of EFT by bringing a more sensitive racialized lens to our work with inter-racial couples;
Invite and discuss Dr. Hardy’s general observations of the session to explore the integration of influences of race in clinical practice.
This workshop came to be after many hours of clinical supervision between Ken and Silvina. It became more and more evident that the community at large would benefit greatly from having a “window” into the consultation hour as Dr. Hardy consults with Silvina about the many facets of race, culture, racial trauma, attachment and systemic processes.
Ken and Silvina hope to foster a dynamic space for learning, conversation, and exploration of the clinical application of race, attachment, and systemic processes in couples therapy.
Please note the recording of this program is not available for distribution.
**All proceeds of this program will go to funding scholarships for therapists of color to attend Dr. Hardy’s Annual Soul Work Conference and/or other Eikenberg Institute Events as well as fellowships for EFT trainings.
